Uganda Hippos and former KCCA FC midfielder debuted for the reserve team of the New York Red Bulls after completing his move to the side late last month.

Sserwadda came on for in the 73rd minute for Luther Archimede for his first outing for the New York based side which drew against Tampa Bay Rowdies at the at Al Lang Stadium

The opening goal of the game was scored in the 23rd minute by Archimede off forward Omar Sowe's threaded ball from midfielder Daniel Edelman.

Tampa Bay scored the equalizer late in the first half, when midfielder Sebastian Dalgaard sent a ball into the box, New York defender Juan Castillo playing into the net for an own goal.

New York will return home to host Loudoun United FC on Wednesday, October 20 for the club’s final home match of the season.

He appeared in his first international club appearance in the 2018–19 CAF Confederation Cup in a 2–1 victory against Tanzanian club, Mtibwa Sugar.

Sserwadda joined USL Championship side New York Red Bulls II on 30 September 2021.
