Uganda Cranes have risen in the latest FIFA Rankings released on Thursday, 21st October 2021.

Uganda is now ranked 82nd in the world with 1297 points, up a place.

From the previous rankings released in September, Uganda Cranes were ranked 83rd.

This rise is attributed to the back-to-back victories over regional rivals Rwanda in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Uganda Cranes won by an identical 1-0 scoreline over the two legs played in Kigali (Stade De Kigali, Nyamirambo) and Wakiso (St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende). Israel-based center forward Aziz Fahad Bayo scored in the two legs.

The next Fifa Rankings will be published on 25^th November 2021.
