Vipers Sports Club has a chance to cut the gap between them and Uganda Premier League leaders KCCA Football Club to a point but have beat Soltilo Bright Stars.

The Venoms visit Bright Stars at Kavumba Recreational Stadium with the hosts looking to move further away from the relegation zone.

Simon Mugerwa the head coach of Bright Stars is aware of the threat posed by the four-time league champions but wants home advantage to count.

“We know Vipers is a big team but we want to utilize our home advantage and get all points.

“At the back, we have improved and kept two successive clean sheets and we hope to have the efficiency in conversion of the many chances we create,” he said.

Vipers who struggled against the league's worst team Tooro United over the weekend and will need to be better if they are to get maximum points away from home.

History favours Vipers who are unbeaten against Soltilo Bright Stars in the past 15 league meetings (W 8, D7). The Venoms have won 4 of the last 8 away games to Bright Stars including the previous two visits.
