Wakiso Giants edged Buganda Regional League side Kiyinda Boys 1-0 on Wednesday to reach the Round of 32 of the 2021-22 Uganda Cup.

Moses Aliro scored the all-important goal of the entertaining game for the Purple Shark at the Ssaza Grounds in Mityana.

The goal arrived within fifteen minutes when he got at the end of a good ball from Titus Ssematimba moments after Samson Kiirya had saved a penalty from Kiyinda skipper Joseph Senoga.

In other games played on the day, Kajjansi United whipped MYDA 3-0 thanks to goals from John Wisley Kisakye (brace) and Joseph Shisha while Tepa beat Seeta United 3-1.
