Black Pearls' sensational season came to an end on Saturday when they were crowned URU Women's XVs League Champions.
Despite Avengers not honouring the last fixture at King's Park, Black Pearls had already won the league the previous weekend following the 75-12 win over Thunderbird.
The triumph in 15 rugby means, Pearls have swept everything there has been to win over the past year having won the 7s and 10s tournaments last year.
Black Pearls coach Hellen Buteme says the journey to the top started a number of years ago with a lot of work going into the project.
"Black Pearls' journey to the top didn't begin this year or last year, it has been a journey of a number of years and it has been a patient journey," Buteme said.
"I have been working with players, patiently building them, working on their skills and their roles on the pitch getting them to understand each other as well.
"The last two years we have kind of nailed (narrowed) things down and last year in December we started on our conditioning for 15s so the girls were lifting tyres three times a week and it was non-negotiable and they embraced it and we have seen it has paid off.
"What has helped us most is players' love for the game and willingness to put in the hard work, to do what other people are not doing."
