Uganda Cranes defender Bevis Mugabi was central in aiding his Scottish Premiership outfit Motherwell in claiming victory over St Mirren on Saturday.
The win gave a lifeline to Motherwell's top six hopes, one that ended an 11-game wait for a league win in 2022.
The Steelmen recovered from 1-0 down to earn a first league win since Boxing Day and score four goals in a game for the first time this season.
Bevis Mugabi, Sean Goss, and Callum Slattery all came into the side to replace Juhani Ojala, Jake Carroll and Liam Donnelly.
Mugabi had been out because he was on duty with Uganda Cranes during the Navruz Cup as they knocked out Tajikistan 5-4 on penalties following a one all draw in normal time on at Navbahor Stadium.
Eamonn Brophy put the visitors in front but two goals in a minute from Sean Goss and Connor Shields turned the game.
St Mirren's Conor McCarthy leveled before Dean Cornelius regained the lead for the Steelmen; Shields' second clinching the win.
