Express Football Club came from a goal down to beat SC Villa 2-1 in the Startimes Uganda Premier League at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
Isaac Ogwang put the Joogos in the lead inside six minutes when he rose highest to node home Nicholas Kabonge's free-kick.
Ten minutes later defender Amir Kakomo helped the Red Eagles draw level when he put the ball in the back of his own net off Enock Ssebagala's cross following a quick corber from Martin Kizza.
Express keeper Crispus Kusiima was twice called into action to deny Joseph Kafumbe and Benson Muhindo and at the other end, Ivan Mayanja blasted over the bar from close range.
The visitors then took the lead through Eric Kambale who scored at the stroke of halftime after a good interplay with Mayanja as the Red Eagles claimed a halftime lead in a game they largely dominated.
Ssebagala and Kizza had opportunities to put the game to bed but their efforts went wide while SC Villa's Saddam Juma was denied by Kusiima.
SC Vill sits 12th with 25 points whereas Express FC moves fifth on the log with 39 points.
