Allan Okello and Allan Kyambadde have joined the Uganda Cranes camp in Tunisia as the team prepares for their first match of the AFCON 2023 Qualifiers against Algeria.
Six more foreign-based players will be expected to join the team before the Algeria match on June 4th.
These include Bevis Mugabi, Elvis Bwomono, Aucho Khalid, Abdu Aziz Kayondo, Derrick Kakooza, and Steven Serwadda.
The Cranes are camped in Tunisia and will play a practice match with Hammam Sousse on Monday as coach Micho continues to fine-tune the team.
The venue for Algeria vs Uganda match has been changed to 5th July 1962 stadium in Algiers not Oran as earlier stated.
Uganda is in Group F of the 2023 AFCON Qualifiers alongside Algeria, Niger, and Tanzania, with the top two teams earning a ticket to the AFCON finals in Ivory Coast next year.
