The Uganda national women's cricket team - Victoria Pearls is set to re-group as they prepare for the 2022 Kenya Women's Tri-series from 12th to 22nd December 2022.

The ladies last participated in the 2022 Kwibuka in mid-June, where they finished third losing to Kenya and Tanzania before winning the third-place playoff by 8 wickets against hosts Rwanda.

The Pearls have been invited to the three-team T20 tournament that will also feature hosts Kenya and Qatar.

Qatar is currently ranked 43rd in the Women's T20I Rankings while Kenya is ranked 22nd. Uganda is in the 20th position following losses in Namibia and in Rwanda.

A squad of 18 players has been named by the selectors from which the final team of 14 which will represent Uganda will be selected.

The five recently banned players eventually return to the provisional squad. Proscovia Alako featured in the U-19 Baby Victoria Pearls World Cup qualifiers.

Esther Iloku, Stephanie Nampiina, Immaculate Nakisuyi, and Irene Alumo will also train after fulfilling the disciplinary committee's requirements.
