Fred Amaku was on target for the only goal of the game as Maroons FC beat Gaddafi 1-0 at the Prisons Grounds in Luzira to end its five-match winless streak in the league. Maroons last win had been against KCCA at the same ground nearly six weeks ago and were only registering their third win of the season which gives some relief to head coach Muhammad Senfuna. Meanwhile, Gaddafi who came into the game on the back of a 1-0 win over holders Vipers, continued to struggle away from home despite dominating the opening half. Alex Kitata was guilty of fluffing a scoring opportunity. With ten minutes to play, Amaku who was silent throughout the game squeezed a clever placement after receiving from Samson Kigozi at the edge of the box to beat Mutakubwa. Maroons stay in 11th position with 13 points and will visit Onduparaka in the West Nile on Sunday 11th December. Gaddafi remains eighth with 15 points and will host Blacks Power on the same day.
