Vipers Sports Club has announced the signing of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) attacking midfielder Serge Robert Mwenge. Mwenge joins The Venons on a two-year employment contract that will keep him at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende till 2025. The midfielder has previously featured for DRC and African powerhouses AS Vita, and Saint Loi Lupopo. He is the third signing of the January transfer window for the Uganda Premier League defending champions after the duo of Martin Kizza and Karim Ndugwa. Mwenge is the sixth Congolese native at Vipers. The others are goalkeeper Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, Olivier Osomba, Gracia Mpongo Mbombo, Rodriguez Shamamba and Darcy Mbaka Kipoyi.
