Uganda Crested Cranes forward Favour Danielita Nambatya has joined Rwanda’s women's top premier club, Apaer women's Football Club. The 21-year-old striker joins the Kigali city-based entity on a short-term deal from the reigning Uganda Women Super League champions She Corporate. Nambatya travelled to Rwanda’s capital city Kigali to sign the employment contract and was also officially handed over her favourite shirt 14. “I am excited to have been scouted and signed at Apaer Women Football Club in Rwanda. I want to utilize this as a bold stepping stone in my career to further attain my goals in life of playing in the world’s women's best leagues.” Nambatya revealed her dream moves to Rwanda. For starters, Apaer Women's Football Club is managed by a vocational institution dealing in electricity, building, accounting, and computing, among others. She was part of the triumphant She Corporate Women Football Club as they clinched the 2021-2022 FUFA Women Super League title. She is a former player at St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende, Masaka SS (Aga Khan), Kawempe Muslim, Muteesa Royal University and lately Makerere University Business School (MUBS). Nambatya’s club career has seen her feature at Kawempe Muslim Women's Football Club, Muteesa Royal University Women's Football Club and lately She Corporate Women's Football Club. In the CAF Women's Champions League (CECAFA Zone qualifiers), she scored as many as six goals. For the current 2022-2023 season, she had so far scored two goals in as many games played. She is also a member of the senior women's national team (Crested Cranes) and has earned five international caps.
