Scottish national Stephen Pritchard has been named head coach of Lions Football Club, now playing as Ahamwaro FC in the Western regional league (fourth division). The Ntungamo-based club made the announcement that gives the CAF C Diploma holder the opportunity to serve football once again in the Western part of the country. “I am happy for this opportunity to work with Lions (Ahamwaro Football Club). I will give my best as expected for the team, players, management and the fans” he noted. Pritchard comes with enough experience having worked for a couple of Ugandan teams as Mbale Heroes (as Kiboga Young), Sun City, Kigezi Home Boyz, King Jesus College (Mubuku), SCB Academy (Technical Advisor) and lately the head coach at Rwenzori province in the FUFA Drum competition. A former player in Scotland, Pritchard also served as a referee in the Hull premier semi-professional league before coaching the Hull ladies in the top-flight division. He holds a degree in community development and youth work from Bradford Technical College at Hull University in the United Kingdom.
