Uganda Premier League side UPDF Football Club has confirmed their new recruits in the just concluded midseason transfer window. The new players have been training with the team and among them is experienced defender Bernard Muwanga who returns to the club for a second stint. Muwanga first played for UPDF during the 2020-21 season and returns to action after a long period of time without a club. He brings a lot of experience in the Army side's defence having featured for KCCA FC, Bright Stars, and SC Villa. Pacy winger Muwadda Mawejje also joins UPDF on a one-year deal, after ending his short spell at Rwandan side Rwamangan City, a side he joined last year in October. The other new signings include goalkeeper Martin Senkooto on loan from Arua Hill, defender Moses Kigundu and Munir Saidi (on loan from Onduparaka). Forward Gerald Kimuli also joins on a one-year deal from Fufa Big League side Booma FC. At the end of the first round, UPDF were third from the bottom with 10 points from 14 games.
