Ndejje Elites and Sport-S Ladies took charge of their respective series in the playoff semifinals of the National Volleyball League over the weekend. Ndejje, led by receiver attacker Catherine Ainembabazi. who was continuously found by setter Phiona Naziite, bounced back after losing the opening set to take the next three, setting the pace in the best-of-three series. KCCA cruised through the opening set as skipper Eunice Amuron got going early but thereafter struggled with the block as the five-time champions took charge of the series. Comfort Twesiime and Renata Kamahoro poked holes in the OBB Block after a close opening set. Sport-S, the leaders in the regular season, were too superior to their opponents and look odds on to advance to the finals with a series sweep.
