Hadijah Nandago was on form as she scored a stunning hattrick to inspire Kawempe Muslim Secondary School past Panyadoli Secondary School in a 4-0 victory. Samalie Nakacwa scored the fourth as the Valley Warriors made a perfect start for the ongoing championship that is undergoing in Mbarara. In a game played at Mbarara High School, it was a one-sided show as Cranimer Kitenda's troops easily passed by Panyadoli. Last year, Kawempe Muslim lost the final 1-0 to St Noa and will fancy their chance this time round to win this year's championship. Nandago is confident that his teammates have prepared well and they are yearning to go back home as champions. "We were so sad that we hardly won last year's championship, however, we have prepared well and am confident we can emerge victors," she stated. "We are hungry but patiently playing one game at a time. All teams here are champions in their respective zones and we respect them. But we came here with a target that will guide us going forward," she concluded. Kawempe Muslim are in Group H with Buhobe Secondary School, Bishop Maraka College, Moroto High School, Sheema Girls School and Panyadoli Secondary School. Next on the menu, Kawempe Muslim will face Buhobe Secondary School at Ntare.
