Record Champions Kibuli SS and Amus College joined the other six to complete the last eight of the ongoing USSSA Football Games 2023 in Fort Portal on Wednesday evening. Kibuli eased past Nkoma SS in a 4-1 victory at Canon Apollo CORE PTC Playground on Wednesday evening. The game was delayed to start after St Julian High Gayaza forcefully walked onto the field of play in protest that their petition against Nkoma SS was not given the deserved attention. But after long discussions, the duel finally kicked off and Kibuli was in control for the biggest part of the game. Davis Busuulwa scored a hat trick before Juma Sajjabi added the fourth to see off Nkoma SS who saw the back door of the tournament. In the other game, Amus College edged Mukono Kings in a 2-1 victory in a match played at Kichwamba II Playground. Brain Toto Majubu and Alvin Ssekamatte were on target to give the Bukedea-based school a lead. Sula Miiro converted from the 12-yard mark to restore Mukono Kings’ hope but they failed to score the second to restore parity. Kibuli will play against Amus College in the quarterfinals, while Kitende will face off against Standard High in the repeat of the Wakiso Regional semifinal clash. Buddo will lock horns with Royal Giants in a clash of titans while on-form St Henry’s Kitovu will entertain West Ville. Quarterfinals Lineup
