As Uganda Cranes prepare to take Algeria in the AFCON 2023 Qualifiers, we take a look at the quick profile of the players who will be representing the country.
We take a look at forward Farouk Aziz Bayo.
Bayo’s journey into the beautiful journey kicked off in 2009 when he joined Lugazi Young Academy before joining Friends of Soccer Academy in 2011.
In 2014, he joined Proline FC a side he played for until 2018. While at Proline he scored 30 goals in 68 matches to introduce himself onto the grand stage.
His fair scoring rate at a low age attracted the Zambian side Buildcon. At the age of 18, he flew out of the borders and managed to gather nine goals and six assists in 39 games.
In 2019, he returned to Vipers SC and rejuvenated his career scoring 12 in 23 matches. The stellar show guided his move out for the second time.
On July 27, 2020, the forward later moved to Israel Premier League side, MS Ashdod before switching to Bnei Sakhnin FC in 2022.
He is currently playing for Czech Republic side MFK Vyskov.
He made his national debut in March 2018 playing both friendlies against Sao Tome and Malawi thanks to Sebastien Desabre’s call.
