Uganda Cranes defender Bevis Mugabi is focused on ensuring he is consistent next season with Scottish Premiership side Motherwell.

Mugabi who was sidelined due to injury for part of last season wants to make more appearances this season with a new gaffer on board in Stuart Kettlewell.

“The break seems shorter, it feels like we’ve just finished playing against Dundee United," he told Daily Record.

“But I’m excited for myself, personally, it’s a fresh start, a clean slate, and I’m looking forward to it.

“Any game that we play in, or I play in especially, I want to do well, and make sure I’m doing my best for the team and putting in good, consistent performances to continue that into the season.”

Motherwell kick-off their competitive campaign on Saturday, July 15, with their Viaplay Cup Group G opener at League Two side Elgin City.
