Exciting Uganda Cranes midfielder Allan Okello has departed from Algerian side Paradou AC.
This comes shortly after completing his season-long loan at his boyhood club KCCA FC.
The decision was made public via a statement released on Monday morning.
“I want to express my gratitude to Paradou AC for the journey we have had together,” the statement partly reads.
“After careful consideration, we have mutually agreed to terminate my contract. This decision was not made lightly, and it comes after extensive reflection on both sides,” it added.
The announcement means Okello is a free agent who is eligible to join any club of his choice.
He joins the long queue of players who have failed to cement their stay in the Arab nations after flashing a lot of potential before the move.
Close sources indicate the player has a bad knee that requires surgery before further damage though Okello is yet to consent.
There are a number of teams chasing Okello’s signature and the National Champions Vipers are among those.
