Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Put Joseph has called upon Ugandans to back him up and also give him time to turn around things.
While speaking at a press conference after his unveiling at FUFA Headquarters, the 67-year-old called up all Ugandans to come together and believe in the national team once again.
"Please give me time, give me the confidence and you will see a different national team," Paul Put stated before adding; "It is a great pleasure to be named the head coach of the Uganda Cranes and I can assure you, the decision will not be regretted."
"I will work on the individual quality of this team, but to win even with the talents that are available is necessary. So, the group is a priority, but we must produce results.
"I am very motivated now and I am ready to write a beautiful story with the Uganda Cranes. I am a very ambitious person and when I sign for a country, I do so to bring results.
"We shall do everything possible to see that we attain the set targets. It is not going to be easy but with the support of all Ugandans we are going to achieve success."
The Belgian gaffer replaces Milutin 'Micho' Sredejovic and will be deputised by Sam Ssimbwa.
The Uganda Cranes return to action on November 17th and 21st as they face Guinèa and Somalia respectively in the World Cup Qualifiers.
