Asubo Ladies FC registered the first victory in the ongoing 2023/24 FUFA Women Super League.

Asubo Ladies FC registered a 1-0 narrow victory against UCU Lady Cardinals in an FWSL clash played at Kampala Quality grounds on Sunday Morning.

Aziiza Amulem’s goal was the difference between the two sides on the day.

Coming into this game, Asubo Ladies had lost three games and drawn once while UCU had lost twice, drawn once and won once.

Amulem opened the scoring in the 29th minute to place the hosts in the driving seat.

In the second stanza, the visitors tried to restore parity but Asubo's backline was equal to the test laid unto them.

The victory takes Asubo Ladies to the ninth position while UCU is just a position above on the 10-team log.
