Wakiso Hill Women FC shared spoils with Rines SS in a 1-1 draw in the FUFA Women Super League at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Sunday morning.

Faridah Nanyonjo and Amina Nababi scored for Wakiso Hill and Rines SS respectively in the one-all stalemate.

Justine Birabwe made his debut on matchday five of the ongoing campaign as Fatumah Nakasumba and Sarah Namatovu returned to the starting eleven.

Nakasumba came so close in the 13th minute of the game but her freekick went wide of the left goal post by a few inches.

Two minutes later Nanyonjo gave the hosts the lead after directing Maureen Kimono’s perfect delivery into the back of the net.

However, the lead hardly lasted for long as Aminah Nababi restored parity for the visitors in the 34th minute.

Kimono’s brilliant effort from a range was emphatically thwarted by Rines’ custodian Elsie Najjemba for a corner.

In the second half, both sides made changes to introduce fresh legs onto the field.

Second-half substitute Esther Anzoo came so close with a powerful effort but Najjemba’s gloves palmed it away in the 74th minute.

After playing 90 minutes, each side could only take home just a point.
