Lugazi FC and Kyetume FC played to a one-all draw in the Uganda Big League clash at Lugazi Stadium on Monday evening.

It was a physical encounter and the 1-1 scoreline explains perfectly how close it was without either side taking full control of the game.

Experienced defender Savio Kabugo returned to the starting eleven after missing the clash where the Leaders played Kiyinda Boys in Mityana.

An own goal by Lugazi gave Kyetume the lead in the 20th minute thanks to the visitors’ forward line that hardly gave room to the hosts to rest.

Five minutes later, Ronald Ssempala set up Sam Ssemugugu through a cut back but the latter’s final effort hit the side net.

Sempala restored parity in the 55th minute after calmly converting from the 12-yard mark.

The hosts kept committing bodies upfront in search of the second but Kyrletume hardly gave them room to do so.

And at full-time the two sides shared points in a close contest. 

A point takes Lugazi to 15 points in the third position on the log while Kyetume has a point less in the fourth position.
