Uganda Premier League | Friday Results

  • Express FC 0-1 Maroons FC
  • Busoga United 2-1 KCCA FC
  • Arua Hill SC 2-0 UPDF FC

Busoga United edged KCCA FC 2-1 in the Uganda Premier League at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Friday.

The heavy downpour delayed the kickoff of the game as the pitch was flooded and each half was played for 40 minutes thereafter.

The Kakasasiro were largely the better side on the day but were not clinical enough thus punished on the day.

KCCA nearly found the opener after Etienne Katenga whipped in a cross but Usama Arafat’s effort rattled off the crossbar in the 10th minute.

Dominic Ayella opened the scoring in the 27th minute after a well-curled effort at the far post to beat Busoga United goalkeeper Micheal Lutaya.

Five minutes later, Ronald Kasamba levelled matters from close range. The forward was set up by Ibrahim Kayiwa who nodded into the area without any contention.

Once again, KCCA gave away a cheap goal due to poor defence as they gave Kayiwa a lot of room to nod into the area.

In the second half, Usama Arafat came close thrice but his powerful efforts never found the target.

Before the full-time whistle, Emmanuel Ajo’s good run paid off perfectly giving Busoga United the hard-earned three points.

The victory takes Busoga United to 10 points in the ninth position while KCCA FC is 15th with four points.

KCCA FC returns to action on Friday, December 1 as they host Gaddafi while Busoga United visits SC Villa two days later.
