Gaddafi Football Club edged army side UPDF Football Club 2-1 in the Uganda Premier League at Gaddafi Arena on Thursday.

Gaddafi came into the game after a brutal 6-1 defeat to KCCA FC last week at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

Thomas Ochungo nodded Gaddafi into the lead with a perfect header off Frank Mulimi's corner in the 43rd minute.

Four minutes past the hour mark, Gaddafi doubled their lead through Benson Muhindo after converting from the penalty spot.

Defender Bright Vuni pulled back one for the visitors but it was not enough to secure UPDF anything positive from the game.

It becomes UPDF's third loss after falling to Arua Hill and Vipers respectively.

Gaddafi are now ninth on the log with 13 points while UPDF are 13th with eight points.

Gaddafi returns to action on Wednesday, December 13 as they visit SC Villa while UPDF host Mbarara City on Monday at Bombo.
