Amos Kirya is the latest addition to Uganda Premier League outfit BUL FC joining from neighbours Gaddafi FC.

After putting a pen to a two-year employment contract, he revealed that he is glad to join an ambitious club like BUL but his target is to help the club keep at the top.

“Glory be to God who enabled me to join BUL FC. I am joining this club because it's ambitious and the best,” Kirya was quoted by the club’s official website.

“Everyone wants to win and this is where I thought I could achieve that. I am a winger and expect to create and score as many goals as I can to keep the club at the top,” he added.

In the same breath, BUL head coach Abbey Kikomeko told the club media that Kirya’s experience will be vital in the club’s quench for success.

“He has been in the league for about two seasons and I think his experience will help us in the second round,” Kikomeko said.

“I expect a lot from him because he is fast and good on the ball, and he is fast and good on the ball. With the kind of players we have and the kind of game we play, he will give us scoring opportunities,” he added.

“I believe we shall have more goals in the second round as compared to the first because we badly need them if we are to win the title.”

Kirya has previously played for Gaddafi (most recently), Jinja Municipal Council and MYDA.

He becomes the fourth signing in the ongoing transfer window after confirming the acquisition of Ibrahim Orit, Musa Esenu, and Fredrick Ngalo.

However, Samuel Ssekamatte, Richard Ayiko and Joshua Okiror are the three players who were released by BUL shortly after the conclusion of the UPL first round.
