  • Kawempe Muslim 1-0 She Maroons

Kawempe Muslim secured a narrow 1-0 victory against She Maroons in the FUFA Women's Super League encounter played on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

Hadijah Nandago’s strike was everything Kawempe Muslim needed to seal maximum points on the day.

In front of the huge crowd that was led by the school fraternity, Kawempe started strong sending several bodies upfront.

Agnes Nabukenya nearly fired the hosts ahead but his effort from the freekick bounced off the frame before Bridget Nabisaalu cleared her lines.

Before the first stanza came to an end, Samalie Nakacwa made a timely clearance to deny Joweria Babirye’s chip-over goalkeeper Juliet Adeke.

Nandago broke the deadlock with a weighed touch to guide the ball past Maroons custodian Esther Akujo in the 74th minute.

Nandago was quick to connect with Nakacwa’s long pass and this time round the ball found the back of the net after missing earlier on two occasions.
