BUL secured a 6-5 penalty shootout victory against KCCA in the Uganda Cup at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru on Saturday.

Experienced forward Alex Kitata fired the hosts ahead with an electric strike in the forst ten minutes of the game.

Five minutes later, Ettiene Katenga leveled matters with yet another thrilling finish breathing like into the visitors crowd.

Both sides came close several times but failed to convert the chances infront and close to the goalline. The game was sent to extra time which equally didn’t yield match.

After 30 minutes of extra time, both sides were sent into penalty kicks.

Ibrahim Kazindula, Ibrahim Mugulusi, Joel Mutakubwa, Ronald Otti, Walter Ochora and Pascal Ngobi scored for BUL, while Joram Kiirya guided his guided his effort above the frame.

Musitafa Mujuzi, Musitafa Kizza, Joel Sserunjogi, Filbert Obenchan, Emmanuel Loki scored, while Herbert Achai and Peter Magambo missed their attempts.

Elsewhere, Pajule Lions secured a 1-0 victory against Pakwach Young Stars in the other quarterfinal tie.
