  • W: KCCA Leopards 72-50 Miracle Ravens

KCCA Panthers secured a 90-64 victory against Ndejje Angels in the National Basketball League at the Lugogo Indoor Arena on Wednesday evening.

Ndejje Angels suffered their 17th defeat of the ongoing season, thus confirming their relegation to FUBA Division II with two games left.

Ndejje Angels have spent 16 years in the top tier since attaining promotion from the lower division in 2008. The confirmation, however, comes in at such a trying time as the institution plans to reduce the sports budget.

The Angels started the game on the front foot creating a nine-point lead (20-11) at the end of the first stanza but the KCCA Panthers fought back to lead by six points at the break (37-31).

Coming from the looker rooms, KCCA Panthers kept the foot on the gas pedal, thus widening the lead to 10 points (60-50) at the end of the third stanza.

The Panthers took the second gear in the game's final stanza as they dropped 30 points while they limited the Angels to only 14 points.

It was the 12th victory for the Panthers in the 20 games played so far, hence lying third on the log, having played more games than several teams.

Sebi Musa (20), Ceaser Kizito (13), and Stephen Otoa were outstanding for the Panthers, scoring in double digits.

On the other hand, Benon Wobusobozi and Haron Arinaitwe scored 21 and 19 points respectively for the Ndejje Angels.
