Tunisian side Club Africain has finally confirmed the signing of Uganda Cranes defender Kenneth Semakula.

Semakula joins the Tunisian side days after confirming his departure from the reigning Uganda Premier League champions SC Villa.

The former SC Villa defender has put pen to paper on a two-year employment contract that will keep the player at the club until 2026.

The deal was put to the public on Saturday, July 20, via the club's official social media platforms.

"Welcome Kenneth Semakula," the statement partly reads.

Semakula was influential in the journey as SC Villa ended a 20-year wait to lift the Uganda Premier League title.

Semakula joins Club Africain, one of the oldest clubs that has existed for 103 years. They have won 13 league titles and as many Tunisian FA Cups.

In the previous campaign, Club Africain finished 6th on a 14-team log in the Tunisian local Premier League.
