Uganda Premier League newcomers, Lugazi FC, have added attacking midfielder Ian Amanya to their squad on a two-year deal.

The skillful and agile player joins from Kaaro Karungi, where he impressed in the FUFA Big League.

Amanya's dream of top-flight football has become a reality after consistent performance. He expressed gratitude for his journey, crediting Kaaro Karungi for his development.

"It's been a learning experience at Kaaro Karungi. I didn't have the best first season, but I found my rhythm and created great memories," Amanya told MTN Sports.

Known for his versatility, Amanya thrives as an attacking midfielder. His speed and ball control allow him to contribute both goals and assists.

He scored eight goals last season, aiming to improve on that tally while creating opportunities for teammates.

"I want to increase my goal count, but my main focus is setting up others. Goals are a bonus for a midfielder," Amanya added.

Lugazi's sixth signing of the transfer window, Amanya brings experience from Spartans Academy, Kazo Excel FC, KL United Namasuba, and Kaaro Karungi.
