Isaac Wagoina's outstanding performance was the difference on the day as BUL slided into semifinals of this year's FUFA Super 8 tournament.
BUL registered a 3-0 victory against Maroons in the quarterfinal encounter at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, on Wednesday evening.
Wagoina guided the ball into the back of the net in the seventh minute, but his effort was flagged offside.
At half an hour mark, Wagoina finally broke the deadlock with a calm finish from the 12-yard mark, thus sending the Maroons custodian the wrong way.
Three minutes later, pacy forward Mataama doubled BUL's lead after Maroons'backline failed to communicate and a decision.
At the end of the first stanza, BUL was in a comfortable 2-0 lead against the Prison Wardens.
Eight minutes into the second half, Wagoina extended BUL's lead with yet another accurate header to beat Maroons custodian Amir Nalugoda.
Despite the strong fight from Maroons in the final minutes, the oil manufacturers held on, thus securing all the bragging rights.
BUL will play Kitara in the semi-finals while Maroons will take on KCCA in the classification games.
