Lugazi is set to lock horns with Vipers in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Lugazi Stadium in Najjembe on Thursday evening.

With two games off the fixture, Lugazi has not yet picked a point, and so Vipers forward Allan Okello anticipates a tough challenge from the wounded buffalo.

“We are really focused on tomorrow’s game,” Okello stated.

“We are ready to give our very best, having lost our last outing. It’s a massive opportunity for us to keep our momentum after the Express win.”

"It's not going to be easy for us because we are playing a team that has lost both games played. They will come all out seeking to win their first game, but we are ready for the challenge," he concluded.

On the other hand, Lugazi's head coach admitted that they have had a poor start to the league before adding that it motivates them to fight more and more.

"We are playing one of the strongest teams in the league and we want to start picking points,” he said.

“But we have prepared well, and hopefully, we shall do well, starting with the game against Vipers,” he added.

Team News

Vipers will continue to miss goalkeeper Jack Komakech.

Abdul Nsereko is the other long-term absentee, while Pedro Sukuya is also a doubt.

Lugazi has reported no absentee as all players are available for selection.
