Express left-back Kizza Mustafa has bid farewell to Uganda Premier League side Express in an emotional statement.

Kizza joined the club in the recent transfer window, but his stay has been cut due to a reported transfer to a League Two side in Egypt.

"As I prepare to embark on a new journey, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible time I have spent with all of you," he stated through his social media platforms.

"The memories we've created together will forever hold a special place in my heart. Your unwavering support and passion have inspired me every day, and I am thankful for the bonds we've formed," he added.

"Though I am moving on, I will carry the spirit of our team with me wherever I go. Thank you for believing in me and for being a part of this unforgettable chapter
in my life."

"I wish you all the best in the future, and I hope our paths cross again. To the Express fans, thank you for the hospitality and support accorded to me, indeed you’re the best fans in the lad," he concluded.

The Red Eagles have already replaced Mustafa with former KCCA left-back Herbert Achai, who made his debut in the 2-2 draw against Police.

Express lies third on a 16-team log with eight points after playing five games in the ongoing transfer window.
