  • Kitara 1-3 BUL

BUL secured a well-deserved 3-1 victory against Kitara in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Royals Park, Butema, on Friday.

It's the second successive victory for BUL who edged URA in a 1-0 victory at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, in the previous matchday.

Two minutes into the game, Martin Aprem fired the visitors into the lead with a powerful effort from outside the box.

Seven minutes later, Walter Ochora doubled BUL's lead with a header off Jerome Kirya's well-weighted corner kick.

However, lanky defender Arthur Kiggundu pulled one back for Kitara with a header after the BUL backline failed to clear its line.

Both sides returned in the second stanza with the intention to take full control of the game.

Moses Sseruyide came close through a curling freekick, but his effort bounced off the frame as the visitors kept knocking.

Dickson Matama added salt to Kitara's wounds with BUL's third goal that put a lid on the hosts' hope to return to the game.

Kitara find themselves in a tough place, having won one game, made a draw, and suffered four defeats in the opening six outings.

The victory takes BUL to the eighth position in eight games while Kitara is 14th with four points in six games played.
