URA secured a 2-0 victory against Kitara in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo on Friday evening.
Sharif Kimbowa and Ivan Ahimbisibwe were on the scoresheet as the Tax Collectors secured first win at home.
Kimbowa broke the deadlock in the 41st minute with a touch into an empty net after being set up by Joseph Semujju.
At the stroke of the first stanza, goalkeeper Chrispas Kusiima was culprit after Ivan Ahimbisibwe was tripped in the dangerous zone.
The forward stepped up and converted from the 12-yard mark to double the hosts' lead before the long break.
URA had a chance to further extend the lead after the ball went off Arthur Kiggundu's hand in the gazzetted area.
However this time round, Ahimbisibwe put the ball over the frame to keep the scoreline intact.
Kitara had several chances on the day but failed to convert any as their losing streak has now gone to five games.
The victory takes URA to fifth position on 11 points while Kitara is 14th with four points after playing seven games in the ongoing campaign.
