Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Put expects a strong response from his team in their upcoming match against Congo Brazzaville.

Uganda suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat to South Africa in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

It was Uganda's first loss in the campaign, and the large crowd that witnessed the disappointing performance was undoubtedly disheartened.

However, the coach believes his players will respond positively in the final group game against Congo Brazzaville.

"We should be able to react positively in our final group game against Congo (Brazzaville)," the coach wrote in a letter to Uganda Cranes' fans.

"I have conveyed a message to my players to understand your feelings and respond accordingly. We will respond like true Uganda Cranes on the pitch next Tuesday," he added.

Uganda currently sits second in Group K with 10 points after five matches.

Uganda will conclude the campaign on Tuesday, November 19, when they face Congo Brazzaville away from home.
