Vipers secured a well-deserved 2-0 victory against URA in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, on Friday.
Milton Karisa and Allan Okello were on target as Vipers claimed the maximum points to go top of the log.
The Vipers were the better side from word go but were not sharp enough in the first stanza of the game.
Karisa's header went narrowly wide in the 36th minute as he nearly gave Vipers the lead in the cagey game.
Pacy forward Moses Aliro was the only threat for the hosts in the first half but failed to guide the ball on target.
Karisa finally broke the deadlock in the 56th minute, finding the back of the net from a very tight angle after a big error in URA's backline.
Okello doubled Vipers' lead with a fine header off Karisa's delivery in a great team goal.
The victory takes Vipers to the log summit with 20 points while URA lie 10th with 11 points after playing nine games.
