Uganda Cup | Round of 64 Results

Vipers SC secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Tepa FC in the Round of 64 of the 51st Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The match played under heavy rain at the Aloysius Core PTC Ground in Ngora on Friday, January 10, 2025, saw defender Livingstone Mulondo emerge as the unlikely hero with a rare brace.

Mulondo gave the visitors an early lead in the 21st minute, heading home the opener.

However, Tepa fought back in the second half, levelling the score through Simon Peter Olupot, sparking hope for the home side.

As the game approached its final moments, Mulondo rose once again to the occasion, scoring the winner with another powerful header just five minutes from full-time.

With this victory, Vipers SC, three-time winners of the Uganda Cup (2015-16, 2019-20, and 2022-23), advanced to the Round of 32.

The winner of the Stanbic Uganda Cup earns the right to represent Uganda in the CAF Confederation Cup.
