Uganda delivered a dominant performance, thrashing Namibia 8-1 in the FIFA U17 Women's World Cup Qualifiers at Hamza Stadium, Nakivubo, on Sunday.

The emphatic win secured an 18-1 aggregate triumph, earning the Teen Cranes a spot in the next round.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Renalda Angel Tamara inadvertently turned the ball into her net.

Joan Namulindwa doubled Uganda's lead 20 minutes later with a composed finish.

Isabella Blick added a third, tapping into an empty net just before halftime.

Head coach Sheryl Botes made three changes at the break, bringing on Dorcus Namboozo, Shadia Nabirye, and Shalom Nambuya for Nabbosa, Cynthia Kirenga, and Irene Kabarokole.

Namulindwa stole the show early in the second half, netting twice in quick succession to complete her hat trick within five minutes.

Rinah Ariho and substitute Shadia Nabirye added their names to the scoresheet, further extending Uganda's lead.

Namibia managed a consolation goal through Shiwovanhu Haukongo, but Rashida Nakalema capped off the rout with a late strike to seal the resounding victory.

With this commanding performance, Uganda advances to face Kenya in the second round of the ongoing qualifiers.
