St Mary's Kitende (SMASK) has appointed highly rated Hassan Zungu as their head coach.

Zungu replaces Daniel Male, who has attained a permanent Vipers' technical team role.

The gaffer brings lots of experience to SMASK after holding the same role at Jinja Secondary School since 2016.

He guided Jinja SS to several titles such as the district and zonal titles.

Speaking about the new role, the gaffer revealed that he wants to maintain the winning character but improve on the style of play.

"It's a great honour to join Kitende. They are a big school that has won a lot of things and under my reign, we need to maintain that," he said.

"However I need to instil my style of play. I enjoy free-flowing football but also encouraging the players to enjoy having the ball on their feet," he added.

"It will not be easy, but I love trying new things. So let's see what we can create as a team because am fully committed to succeeding at Kitende."
