Uganda Premier League | Result

• Wakiso Giants 1-1 SC Villa

Wakiso Giants and SC Villa played to a 1-1 draw in the Uganda Premier League at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Tuesday.

Aslam Semakula put SC Villa ahead in the first half before Hudson Mbalire equalized in the second half to ensure both teams shared the spoils.

James Alitho was tested early on by Charles Lwanga, but the Wakiso Giants goalkeeper was up to the challenge, making crucial saves.

SC Villa broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute when Semakula capitalized on a well-delivered cross from David Owori on the right flank.

Owori almost doubled Villa’s lead just before halftime, but Alitho pulled off a brilliant fingertip save to keep the hosts in the game.

After the break, Wakiso Giants came out with greater intensity, pushing SC Villa onto the back foot.

Their efforts paid off in the 61st minute when Mbalire pounced on a loose ball inside the box, finishing clinically to restore parity.

The result leaves SC Villa in eighth place with 21 points, while Wakiso Giants remain 14th with 13 points after 16 matches played.
