KCCA suffered a 1-0 loss to NEC in the Uganda Premier League encounter at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Thursday.

The Kasasiro Boys started the second round on a wrong note with a loss as they fell to tenants at Omondi Stadium.

Enock Ssebagala headed the ball into the back of the net after being set up by Geriga Atendele in the ninth minute.

NEC kept knocking on the door but KCCA goalkeeper Mutwalib Mugolofa made a double save to palm away Ssebagala and James Jarieko's effort.

KCCA tried to respond through Ashraf Mugume and Derrick Nsibambi but Hannington Ssebwalunyo was equal to the challenges.

The victory keeps NEC in the second position with 36 points, one behind log leaders while KCCA remain fifth on 24 points.
