Uganda will host the Zone V Volleyball Club Championship from Wednesday, February 26, to Tuesday, March 4.

The championship is set to take place at the Lugogo Indoor Arena and the Old Kampala Sports Arena.

This was confirmed during a press conference meeting at the Uganda Olympic Committee head office in Lugogo.

Speaking to the press, the local organising committee chairperson Joseph Odong revealed that the venues have been confirmed and they will soon be closing entries.

"The preparations to have a tranquil Zone V Volleyball Club Championship are in high gear. We have confirmed two avenues that will be used (Lugogo Arena and Old Kampala Arena)," he stated.

"Sofar, twenty clubs have confirmed to take part and we shall be closing entries by Friday, February 21, 2025, ahead of the technical committee meeting," he added.

The Uganda Volleyball Federation and Zone V president Sadiq Nasiwu promised a successful event and lauded all the participating countries.

Rwanda National Police (Men) and Kenya Pipeline Corporation (Women) are the defending champions of the previous Zone V championship.
