Police FC secured a well-earned 2-0 victory over Bright Stars in their Uganda Cup clash at Kavumba Recreation Centre.

Umar Kasumba and Shakur Jjemba found the net as the Cops sealed their spot in the next round.

The match was played under challenging weather conditions, prompting the referee to halt proceedings for a cooling break in the 23rd minute.

Kasumba broke the deadlock four minutes later, scoring his first goal for Police since joining in the recent transfer window.

Despite dominating possession, Bright Stars struggled to make an impact in the final third.

Debutant Jjemba sealed the win in added time, ending Bright Stars' Uganda Cup campaign.
