• Rines 1-3 Kawempe Muslim

Kawempe Muslim secured a 3-1 victory in the FUFA Women's Super League at Kabaka Kyabaggu on Sunday.

Under cloudy skies, the two sides played on soggy, challenging ground in front of a small crowd.

Agnes Nabukenya, Mebel Adong, and Shakira Nyinagahirwa scored a goal each, and Kawempe secured maximum points.

On the other hand, Patricia Nakato was on target as Rines went down fighting at home.

Despite a slow start from either side, Rines took the lead in the 20th minute through Patricia Nakato who converted from the 12-yard mark.

At the stroke of the first stanza, Agnes Nabukenya was tripped in the area, the forward stepped up to the occasion and smartly levelled matters.

Adong fired the visitors ahead early in the second half as Rines' backline failed to clear their lines.

Nyinagahirwa extended Kawempe's lead with the third goal of the day. It was an emotional moment for Nyinagahirwa and the fans after her return from a long-term injury.

The victory keeps Kawempe Muslim in the second position with six points while Rines drop to seventh with 18 points.
