The U-17 Men's National Team (Cubs) trailed Burkina Faso 3-2 in the pre-tournament international friendly on Sunday at Ziada Sports Complex.

The Cubs started on the front foot seeking to get an early lead thus settle in the game.

Burkina Faso were awarded a penalty in the 33rd minute, Issouf Bara stepped up and converted the effort.

At the stroke of the first quarter, Ssozi levelled matters with a calm effort from close range.

James Bogere gave Uganda the lead in the 51st minute capitalizing on a defensive error.

Alessandro Bagayoko levelled matters in the 78th minute. He found himself infront of goal and fired home.

Mohamed Sacko scored Burkina Faso's winning goal in the dying minute to run away with a victory.

The Cubs will return to action on Wednesday, March 26 as they take on Cameroon in a trial game.

Uganda are preparing for the U17 AFCON tournament set to get underway on Sunday, March 30 in Morocco.
