Queentor Abel will lead Kenya in the 2022 Quadrangular T20I Series that will feature Uganda, Tanzania, and Qatar from Dec 13th-22nd in Nairobi. Queentor will be assisted by Sharon Juma as Vice Captain as the team looks to finally upstage archrivals Tanzania who defeated them at the 2022 Kwibuka tournament. Head coach Francis Otieno feels their biggest opponent Tanzania will present Kenya with an opportunity to test themselves. "We were already set to host two countries but Tanzania's confirmation is good for us because we will use them to benchmark. "Competing with them here once again will help us know if we learned from our mistakes and if we are making progress," Otieno told Kenya Star. Otieno said; "I feel we are at a good place but there’s some pressure because we definitely want to perform well." He added: "This tournament will help me see how the girls are coping. We are planning to take a game at a time." SQUAD: Queentor Abel (captain), Sharon Juma (vice-captain), Mary Wambui, Esther Wangare, Vanessa Adhiambo, Lavendah Alivitsa, Melvin Khagoitsa, Veronica Abuga, Daisy Njoroge, Monicah Ndhambi, Flavia Atieno, Josephine Abwom, Mercy Ahono and Kelvia Achieno : Reserves: Judith Ajiambo and Ann Wanjira.February 15, 2025 | Cricket
