Kitara FC and Mbarara City FC continue to set the pace in the FUFA Big League, creating a gap between themselves and the rest of the pack. In the games played on Thursday, the two side won their respective games convincingly at home. Kitara were 5-1 winners over Ndejje University to maintain a firm grip on the summit. Edson Agondeze netted a brace while Patrick Mugume, Patrick Kaddu and Ronald Kayondo scored a goal eachwhile the consolation for Ndejje University came from Vincent Abigaba. Victory leaves Kitara top on 20 points while Ndejje remains tenth with nine points. On the other hand, Mbarara City were 3-1 winners over Kyetume in the game played at Kakyeka Stadium. Henry Kitegenyi missed a penalty but scored twice in open play before Jamil Nvule added the other. In the other games played, Luweero United and Police played out a goalless draw, Calvary won 3-2 at Soroti City while Adjumani nicked a hard-fought 1-0 win over Kataka. Kaaro Karungi drew goalless at home against NEC FC, Northern Gateway were held to a one-all draw by Lugazi FC while the thrilling encounter between Booma and Jinja North United ended in a three-all draw.
